For his contributions to the socio economic and educational development of Epe Constituency II, Lagos State, Yoruba land and Nigeria at large, the Yoruba Youth Corporation (YYC) North America, has bestowed Hon. Segun Olulade with the “Good Leadership and Good Governance” award.
The Yoruba Youth Corporation (YYC) is the umbrella body of all Yoruba youth groups in North America, an organization which was founded 2008 in Detroit, Michigan to promote peace and unity among Yoruba Youths in North America.
At the YYC maiden Oodua Image Awards 2016, which was held on Friday, 26th October, 2016, the group’s National Coordinator, Aare Oluwaseyi Ogunlusi explained that the award was to appreciate Olulade’s contributions to the socio economic and educational development of Epe Constituency II, Lagos State, Yoruba land and Nigeria at large.
The event, which held at the Grand Affairs Ballroom 9819 Bissonnet Street, Houston TX 77036,had in attendance top government functionaries, traditional rulers, technocrats, artist to mention a few from Nigeria and other parts of the world.
The YYC has also been promoting inter-generational understanding between the old and younger generation, through its annual youth convention tagged National Yoruba Youth Convention since 2008.
