OSUN POLL: AREGBESOLA WILL WIN DESPITE MILITARY INTIMIDATIONS – OLULADE

PRESS STATEMENT WEDNESDAY 30-07-2014

The mouthpiece of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy, Security and Publicity representing Epe Constituency II, Hon Segun Olulade has expressed his confidence that the election in Osun will be won by landslide by the incumbent Governor ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Olulade made this statement in view of what he described as “peoples’ unrelenting desire for change sustainability”. He noted that the good people of the State of Osun know quite well what development is all about haven enjoyed a government that is truly peoples’ oriented.

“The election in Osun is won and lost. I can see PDP stalwart coming to Osun only to give consolation and moral support for the candidate of their party. The heavy deployment of security personnels and usual intimidation of the people will not deter Osun people from renewing the mandate they gave to the incumbent Governor four years ago”.

Olulade said the Federal Government under the guise of providing security has been terrorising the electorate in Osun with masked military men similar to those fighting in the war front brandishing guns across the State capital and other major towns in the State. He said “the time has come when the military might of Mr President will be resisted by the people since the nation is not under military rule”.

In addition, Olulade said he was sure of victory for the All Progressives Congress in spite of the barbaric abuse of the security forces by the Presidency to continue to clear way for emergence of PDP candidates in State elections.

While concluding, Olulade called on the people of Osun to take their destinies in their hands by defending their votes come Saturday. He said the giant move made by the former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola is another pointer to the fact that APC is popular and that the party has shown right leadership capable of attracting the status of Oyinlola into the party. Olulade said he saluted the spirit and doggedness of Olagunsoye Oyinlola while noting that the re-born democrat can only get justice in the APC because the PDP lacks constitutionality as evident in their outright display of court order reinstating Oyinlola as the National Secretary of the PDP since 2013.

Hon. Segun Olulade
